Reiki Services

"Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself."

Reiki services are now being offered by me. As of right now , i am offering full reiki services in person AND long distance. Reiki sessions vary in length but usually average 45 min- 1 hour. Cost of a reiki session is $50.00 per session.   Long distance reiki is payable by donation. (The buttons are below) For long distance reiki sessions i will need you to email me a picture of yourself and the same applies for distance reiki sessions for friends or family members. I will need a picture of the person who the reiki is intended for.  Just email me your/their name and a picture. And as always if you cannot afford these prices then feel free to make a donation instead.

Reiki Session Guidelines

A Reiki session at my office (which is in my home) begins with a short informational conversation between me and the client. The client will then lie on a massage table, fully clothed and relax. The client is encouraged to fully relax but may wish to relay information during the session regarding feelings, physical or emotional. A Reiki session can be deeply relaxing and some clients will doze off during the session which is not a problem as the Reiki is still being received regardless of the client’s waking state. Once the treatment is over I will ask how the client feels and allow them time to become fully conscious and ready to face the rest of their day. At this time we may discuss what we both felt and any future treatment plan.

Pre-session
-Dress in clothing that is comfortable and suitable for lying down for approximately an hour. Most sessions will entail lying on your back for part of the session and on your stomach for part as well.
-Try not to eat a large meal within at least 2-4 hours before the session. Fruit is okay in a moderate quantity.
-It is not a good idea to drink caffeine and definitely not good to drink alcohol before a session.
-If you need to use the restroom, please do so. It is better to start a couple of minutes late than to interrupt a session if possible.

Session
-You may need a blanket to keep warm which i can provide. If at any time you become uncomfortable please let me know so that I may take action to resolve the situation.
-I often play soft music during a session. Some people are sensitive to music and sounds. If there is a problem with the music or lack of it please let me know. I have a variety of styles to choose from.
-If at any time you feel the need to communicate something to me during your session, please do so. There is no harm in talking during a session and it can be helpful to us both if you feel the urge to give me some information.
-If you need to use the restroom during the session, please let me know. I would rather that we interrupt the session to keep you comfortable and help your mind relax than have you distracted.

Post-session
-Rise slowly and allow yourself to get your bearings before getting off of the table.
-Drink some water immediately after your session and increase your normal water intake over the next 12-24 hours.
-Pay attention to any thoughts and feelings and be physically aware of yourself for the next 24 hours. You may experience emotional, physical, or spiritual changes or break-throughs.
-Call me if you have any questions or wish to discuss anything regarding your session or how you reacted to it.
Some clients feel energized after a Reiki session and others feel deeply relaxed and ready for a nap. Each person will feel and react differently.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Indian Head Massage has been practiced for thousands of years. It is a very relaxing treatment and excellent for neck and shoulder tension. What is Indian Head Massage? The art of Indian Head Massage is an Ayurvedic form of healing and relaxation used widely in Asia,  to combat daily tension and stress.  This form of massage is now one of the most popular therapies available at the moment. The Malish technique addresses the back, neck, scalp and face using a variety of massage pressures and techniques and is one of the most relaxing types of massages you will ever experience.  A typical treatment normally lasts 45 minutes. Why would you have an Indian Head Massage? Ideal for any neck or shoulder tension, the massage starts on the back and neck working deeply over the muscles and pressure points that help the muscles to relax. Moving on to the scalp, massage techniques are used which relax, stimulate and revive this area.  The whole scalp is covered to encourage circulation, oxygen and nutrients to the area.  The effect of this is to help stimulate hair growth and revitalize the brain. Indian head massage is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis. Clients report that the experience is deeply calming and relaxing, leaving them feeling energized and revitalized and better able to concentrate. Finally, the treatment finishes with a wonderful soothing face massage, which includes pressure points and draining techniques that may help headaches and sinus problems. The massage does not require removal of clothing - wear comfortable clothing and a thin top (such as a t-shirt or shirt, etc).
